Sharpe Appreciation Society Weekend
The first day of this weekend is complete and it was a blast! Men from the 2nd Battalion 95th Rifles were in the grounds, giving firing demonstrations. Chris and Marilyn, from the SAS, were constantly in evidence, making sure everyone was doing their job properly! Gary Cartwright was selling his very fine original pictures and a small contingent from the Sharpe Chefs was on hand to help swell the coffers of the National Osteoporosis Society by selling more cookery books.
We were delighted to have the presence of ever-faithful Jason Salkey (Rifleman Harris), who signed almost anything that was put in front of him and was also selling his excellent Video Diaries and photos.
As a special bonus, we were treated to a visit by Daragh O’Malley (Sgt Harper), who was also only too happy to sign any number of books and photos for the public, as well as have photos taken with them. It was a very special day and Sunday looks to be just as special, with Lyndon Davies (Rifleman Perkins) due to be on hand as well as Jason, and the exciting prospect of other members of the Sharpe cast turning up.
Some ‘Sharpe Chefs’ have the protection of the Riflemen.
Reunited with their weapons of choice!
Chris and Marilyn from the Sharpe Appreciation Society pose with the Boys!
Both hard at work signing photos and the ‘Sharpe Chefs’ charity cookery book. More information as it is available.

What wonderful support the Chosen Men are giving the Sharpe Chefs! Thanks for the photos – and thanks to everyone who has bought the book and boosted the donation to the NOS.
