A recent communication from our publisher, Pickard Communication, tells us that we have sold a total of 1700 ‘Sharpe Chefs’ cookery books! This translates into a substantial donation to the National Osteoporosis Society (UK), due to be handed over next month (details as soon as they are available).

Our grateful thanks to everyone who has bought the book or helped, in some way, to publicise it.

There were crowds of people at the Waterstone’s, Southend book signing. Our wonderful Chosen Men, Jason Salkey and Lyndon Davies, signed loads of books and were at ease and as friendly as ever. The boys from the 95th Rifles (Regiment of Foot) stood guard outside the store and shared their expertise inside with customers. The sales were very good and we have made another healthy donation to the National Osteoporosis Society (UK). Some of the Sharpe Chefs were able to be there today and it was a welcome reunion with the Chosen Men and the Riflemen. More when there are photos ready!

Thanks to everyone who made this another great event, especially the staff at Waterstone’s, who made the whole thing run very smoothly.
