Sharpe Chefs II – On Campaign signing!
| We have a book signing at Waterstones in Greenwich, London arranged for Sunday 28th June 2009. We are really pleased, as it is part of the Greenwich Festival weekend and we have been told by the guys at Waterstones that this weekend is busy second only to the marathon weekend. I believe as it stands that the signing will be from 1pm to 3pm in the store. Some of the actors from the series will be there to sign ‘Sharpe Chefs’ books. They are always happy to have their photos taken. Jason Salkey is a definite and he will have with him all the usual goodies he sells at Sharpe events – The Harris Diaries and many photos of the Chosen Men. He is always very supportive of our causes and so far he will be joined by the wonderful Paul Bigley (Dobbs) – the poor soul who was flogged in Sharpe’s Eagle and then collapsed in Sharpe’s arms after firing 4 rounds a minute to thwart Simmerson!!!! Hurrah!!! We hope to have more names to add to this list. We will also be ‘guarded’ by our usual representatives from the 95th Regiment of Foot re-enactment. They come along in full dress and bring loads of ’stuff’ for everyone to see. They are also happy to pose for photos and answer any question.We hope to see as many people as possible there. It will be a great day and for a really good cause. |
